Author Guidelines

The Journal of Accounting, Business, and Management (JABM) welcomes articles in all areas of accounting and business related topics. It publishes research papers that address significant issues and are of relevance to the academia and profession. Research papers should be analytical and may be theoretically based and empirically based. Comparative studies of culture and practices among countries are also welcomed. Submissions should be made by either post mailing three copies of the paper plus the paper on a diskette of 3.5" or electronically by sending the paper in the form of MS word files attached to an e-mail addressed to nevida@staff.stie-mce.ac.id or jabm_int@stie-mce.ac.id

It is understood that submissions have not been previously published, nor are submissions currently under review for publication elsewhere. Once an article is published, its copyright is transferred automatically to the publisher (MCE) without further notice to the author(s). Submissions must be written in the English language and that they pursue the following initial sample items of the editorial style and format adopted by the JABM journal:

  • Author(s) names, affiliations, contact mailing address, and e-mail address should be clearly made.
  • Articles must be typed by using MS-Word,  or open office or RTF document file format, font Garamond 11, spaces 1.5, number of pages 15-20, and paper size of A4.
  • Margin requirement: top=4 cm, bottom=4 cm, left=4 cm, right=4cm.
  • An abstract of the article of 150-200 words should be included together with 6 keywords
  • or phrases suitable for on-line search and indexation purposes.
  • Submissions should be 1.5 spaced typing and a wide space on the left margin.
  • Tables, figures, and illustrations are put into the content of article, followed by orderly numbers, title of table/illustration and quotation sources if necessary. They should be typed at 10 points and single spaced with at least one inch margins. See a recent issue of JABM for examples.
  • Each article must cover bibliography (reference sources only). References should be listed at the end of the manuscript, arranged alphabetically by the name or the main name of the first author. References to the publications should strictly follow APA referencing style.

Please feel free to contact the Editor-in-Chief of JABM when questions arise. Dr. Nevi Danila can be contacted by sending an e-mail to: nevida@staff.stie-mce.ac.idjabm_int@stie-mce.ac.id

Editorial Procedures

The Journal of Accounting, Business and Management (JABM) is an international academic and double blind refereed journal. Submissions are initially screened to determine its appropriateness. Those considered inappropriate in totality, will be returned to the sender. Those considered appropriate will be acknowledged to author(s) and sent to two reviewers for comment and the final decision is made by journal editors in the light of reviewers' comments. The reviewing process generally takes between six to eight weeks to complete depending on the time of the year when submission is made. Afterwards, the author(s) will receive a notification of acceptance or rejection or a request for revision. In case of "request for revision", the author(s) should re-submit the revised manuscript within a period of six months from the date of "request for revision" notification, otherwise it will be considered as a new submission. The Editor has the right to make minor editorial proofs and changes in the article text that are necessary for journal's regulations. In order to subsidy the substantial cost of print, there is a publication fee of US$ 50 imposed on each manuscript that has been accepted for publication. A complimentary copy of the issue in which the manuscript appears will be supplied to the main (or contact) author. Contents of published articles represent solely the ideas of author(s). Editors as well as Board of Editors are not responsible for the views expressed by author(s).
